A Class XI student was allegedly abducted by some youths near a church in Devilal Colony on late Sunday evening. An FIR was registered at the Sector 9A police station.

In his complaint, the 17-year-old’s father said he got a call on Sunday night around 10:30 pm. The caller claimed to be a friend of his son and said that he was abducted around 7:30 pm. Following this, they tried to contact him but he was still missing.

Following the complaint, an FIR was registered under relevant sections of the BNS at the Sector 9 A police station on Monday.

“We are questioning some suspects in the case and trying to rescue the victim first. We still have no clue about the victim and the accused. The investigation is on,” said Sub-Inspector Zora Singh, the investigating officer.
