He died on the spot.

The reason behind his death is not yet ascertained and no suicide note was found. Police have handed over the body to the family after the postmortem.

According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Aryan Sehwag, an approximately 18-year-old resident of a 10th-floor flat in Shobha City society, Sector 108. He was the only son in his family, and his father works for an IT company. He was a student at DPS School in Delhi.

The incident took place around 2:30 AM when the student went to the 18th floor via the lift and jumped from the balcony. After receiving information, the security guard of the society and some residents gathered at the spot. A police team arrived and took the critically injured student to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

According to the police, Aryan and his mother were at home at the time of the incident. His father, Vikram, had gone to Rohtak for work.

“Preliminary police investigations suggest suicide. He was seen in the CCTV footage going from his floor to the 18th floor. We have seized the student's mobile phone, and the CCTV footage is also being examined. The family suspects he might have taken this extreme step due to studies or his old chronic spinal disease. A probe is underway,” said ASI Balwinder Singh, the investigating officer.
