When asked about the increasing support from various organisations for Badoli during an interaction at the Haryana Police Academy (HPA) Madhuban, the Chief Minister avoided the question, simply saying, “Thank you.”
Badoli, along with singer Rocky Mittal, has been booked in a gang rape case after a woman alleged that the two assaulted her at a hotel in Kasauli.
Saini was at HPA Madhuban to chair a high-level meeting attended by Chief Secretary Dr Vivek Joshi, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Rajesh Khullar, DGP Shatrujeet Kapur, all Divisional Commissioners, ADGPs, IGPs, police commissioners, DCs and SPs from across the state.
While speaking to the media on the sidelines of the event, Saini expressed confidence in the BJP’s victory in the upcoming Delhi elections. He criticised former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, claiming the people of Delhi would no longer fall for his false promises.
Highlighting several unfulfilled commitments of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, Saini said, “Instead of clearing tangled power lines and cleaning the Yamuna River as promised, the situation has worsened.” He also pointed to allegations of corruption, adding, “Ministers from the so-called honest government ended up in jail.”
Later in the day, the Chief Minister visited the BJP district office Karna Kamal, where he congratulated the newly elected presidents of all Mandals in the district. BJP officiating president Brij Gupta welcomed Saini and introduced the Mandal presidents to him.
