Haryana CM Nayab Saini: Feeling suffocated, MLAs left JJP
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today said that it was due to the policies of the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) that its MLAs were dissatisfied and they left the party. He added, “MLAs have left the JJP, as they were feeling suffocated due to its policies. We welcome them into the BJP with open arms.” Saini was speaking at the Taraori grain market on the sidelines of a Jan Ashirwad rally on Tuesday.
Saini claimed that the BJP would form the government in the state for the third consecutive time. On the possibility of an alliance between the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for the elections, he said that both parties were corrupt and they had formed an alliance in the recent Lok Sabha elections as well. “Both parties claim to be honest but when they come together, their alliance exploits people. The voters will teach the two parties a lesson in the Assembly elections,” he added.
Saini did not answer a question about the seat from where he would contest the elections. He accused the Congress of thriving on lies and being loyal only to one family rather than general public. “The Congress always misleads people to get their votes but later exploits them,” he alleged.
The Chief Minister highlighted the contributions of farmers, sportspersons and the youth belonging to Haryana. “Haryana is a land of warriors and around 10 per cent of the country’s soldiers hail from the state. Haryana has always stood firm against terrorism,” he added.
Saini asked Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Bhupinder Singh Hooda if they were in favour of honouring terrorists instead our brave soldiers. “The soldiers of Haryana will never forgive the Congress,” he said.
He expressed the confidence that the BJP would win the Nilokheri seat. He criticised the ‘Haryana Mange Hisaab Yatra’ of the Congress and said that the party should first talk about its 10-year tenure.
Saini highlighted the work done by the BJP government in the past 10 years, including ensuring development in Haryana with the vision of ‘Haryana Ek, Haryanvi Ek’. He said that the BJP government had abolished ‘parchi and kharchi’ (recommendation and bribe) and other malpractices.
He accused the Congress of spreading lies during the Lok Sabha elections and misleading people about the BJP’s intentions regarding the Constitution.
