A team of the Chief Minister’s flying squad (CMFS), Rewari, conducted a surprise inspection at the office of the Subdivisional Engineer, Public Health and Engineering Department, at Kanina in Mahendragarh district on Thursday.

The team was led by Sub-Inspector Sunil Kumar from CMFS (Rewari) and accompanied by Prem Singh, SDE (PHED), Mahendragarh, as Duty Magistrate.

The inspection was conducted in presence of SDE (Kanina) Rajeev Kumar. Seven employees posted at the Kanina SDE’s office, local boosting stations and water-treatment plant were found absent from their duties.

CCTV cameras as well as a biometric attendance machine installed at the SDE office were found dysfunctional. It was also found during the inspection that an HKRN employee Anil Kumar was absent from duty since March-2024, yet no action had been taken against him.

Five complaints from the Chief Minister’s Window and three from Jan Samvad portal were found pending beyond the stipulated time.

The inspecting team has recommended action into the said lapses/irregularities by the office of the Chief Engineer of the Department of Public Health and Engineering, Panchkula.
