CM holds back-to-back roadshows, seeks votes for maiden victory on Pundri seat

To ensure the BJP’s maiden victory on the Pundri Assembly seat, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini held a roadshow to garner local support ahead of the Assembly elections. The road show passed through the heart of Pundri from the grain market to the stadium and the Chief Minister made a direct appeal to people to support the BJP in the elections.

Accompanied by state party president Mohan Lal Badoli, Saini claimed that the BJP would come to power for the third consecutive time and development works would continue at the same pace. “We will form government for the third consecutive time in Haryana,” he said.

He exhorted people to support the BJP. “Every party worker should apprise people about the policies of the BJP. We have worked for the welfare of farmers, traders, labourers and other sections of society,” he added.

The Chief Minister highlighted various development projects his government had initiated in the state. Pundri, a constituency traditionally held by Independent candidates, has emerged as a crucial battleground in the elections and the ruling BJP is making all-out efforts to win the seat for the first time. Of the 13 Assembly elections held so far, Independent candidates have won the seat for the maximum seven times while the Congress had won it four times, the Janata Party and the Lok Dal once each. Ticket aspirants Tejvir Singh, Dinesh Kaushik, Satpal Jamba, Anita Chaudhary, Isham Singh Sakra and Subhash Hajwana also took part in the roadshow.

Munish Kathwar, district president of the Kaithal BJP, claimed that the BJP would win the Pundri seat by a huge margin. All ticket aspirants would work for the victory of the candidate fielded by the party.
