Addressing a gathering at an event to mark the Prakash Utsav of Baba Sri Chand in Pehowa, CM Nayab Singh Saini said that following the Gurus’ sacred legacy, it was our duty to embrace the teachings of harmony, tolerance, brotherhood, and mutual love.

He said there was no place for corruption, crime, or caste-based politics in the state. With the blessings of saints and spiritual leaders, the government was committed to maintaining political integrity at all costs.

He also reaffirmed the state’s determination to become drug-free.

Meanwhile, he said Baba Sri Chand, the eldest son of Guru Nanak Dev, was devoted to spirituality from a young age and dedicated his life to the welfare of humanity, leaving a lasting legacy of compassion and service.

The government will organise a state-level programme at Jyotisar on November 25 to commemorate the 350th martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to participate in this event.

Saini said the younger generation must meet modern challenges successfully while remaining rooted in our ancient and noble culture.
