Dr Anil Aggarwal, an eminent surgeon of Jagadhri city and a philanthropist, has been honoured by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini at a function held by the Tribune Trust in Chandigarh recently.

He said he had been awarded 11 times by various Central Ministers, thrice by Chief Ministers and seven times by health ministers.

“I have performed a number of highly complicated and rare surgeries. Besides, I have organised 162 free medical camps and 45 blood donation camps,” said Dr Aggarwal.

He said he also performed free surgeries on hundreds of patients, besides organising mass marriage of poor girls.

“I was recently conferred with most coveted honorary fellowship of International College of Surgeons of Chicago (USA),” said Dr Aggarwal.
