On the first day of the Budget session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha, obituary resolutions were passed to pay homage to prominent personalities and soldiers who passed away since the last session.

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini led the House in reading out obituary resolutions for former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, former Haryana Chief Minister Om Parkash Chautala and other political figures, including Satpal Sangwan, Kirpa Ram, Surinder Singh Aujla, Chaudhary Karam Singh, and Hem Raj, all ex-MLAs, along with freedom fighter Baaj Singh.

Vidhan Sabha Speaker Harvinder Kalyan also read the obituary resolutions, offering condolences to the bereaved families. Former Haryana CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda, speaking on behalf of his party, joined in paying respects.

The House observed a moment of silence and paid heartfelt tributes to 21 brave soldiers from Haryana who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.

The Vidhan Sabha extended its deepest condolences to the families of these martyrs who sacrificed their lives while safeguarding the nation’s unity and integrity.

The House also expressed its grief over the passing of close family members of several political leaders, including Rajpal Singh Nagar, uncle of Union Minister Krishan Pal Gurjar, Shanti Devi, aunt of state Minister Arvind Kumar Sharma, Beerja Chaudhary, mother-in-law of state Minister Shruti Choudhry, Prem Lal Sharma, brother-in-law of MP Rekha Sharma, Usha Kadian, sister of MLA Sunil Sangwan and Maya Devi, sister of MLA Ram Kumar Gautam.
