During the visit, investment opportunities worth about Rs 5,000 crore have emerged, which would mark the beginning of a new chapter in Haryana’s growth.
On his maiden foreign visit, the CM chose Japan since it had invested in India through Maruti Industries in Gurugram in the 1980s.
Being a farmer himself, Saini wished that, along with industries, Japan should also make its technology available for farmers. During his visit, he toured the Kubota Tractor Plant in Osaka. Kubota has proposed to invest over Rs 2,000 crore in Haryana.
The visit marked a beginning towards making Haryana a ‘Global Growth Hub’. At the Haryana Pavilion in World Expo 2025 held in Osaka, the innovations of Japan and Haryana were showcased together.
"Haryana has always been a global investment destination for Japanese companies, where favourable industrial policies, strong infrastructure, and an investor-friendly environment have strengthened the confidence of foreign investors. Over the past 11 years, this confidence has grown even stronger," a spokesperson of the government stated.
The Japanese industrial sector, impressed by the transparent governance and industry-friendly policies of the Haryana Government, has extended its hand of cooperation in the fields of industrial and infrastructural development, research, and innovation.
While the process of establishment of 10 new Industrial Model Townships (IMTs) has kicked off, the CM's vision is to develop one of these IMTs with Japanese cooperation.
The delegation met leading Japanese companies and industrial groups, including AISIN, Air Water, TASI, Namboob, Denso, Sojitz, Nissin, Kawakin, Daikin, and Toppan. More than 10 MoUs worth over Rs 4,400 crore were signed, paving the way for employment opportunities for thousands of youth in Haryana.
