Karnal: On the 21st death anniversary of astronaut Kalpana Chawla, 10 girl students of Tagore Baal Niketan Senior Secondary School were awarded Rs 25,000 each by ND Mehra Memorial Trust, Delhi. The school is the alma mater of Chawla. Chief guest Ashima Gakhar, the principal of Dyal Singh College, paid tributes to Chawla and gave the cheques to ten meritorious students on the occasion. The recipients include Diksha Gill, Harshita, Mitali, Jasmin, Jayati Saini, Nisha, Yashika, Bharti, Pratyaksha and Garima.

Inter-zonal youth festival

Karnal: Students of KVA DAV Women College won the overall trophy in the 44th Inter-Zonal Youth Festival organised by DAV PG College, Karnal. The students showcased their talent by securing first positions in the speech, singing, and mehndi competitions. In the debate competition, Priya secured the first position, while Kanika got the second position. Simran bagged the first position in the declamation competition and Paveetra secured the first position in mehandi competition. College principal Meenu Sharma lauded the efforts of the students.

Rohtak: Technology is important in the 21st century. The future belongs to digital teaching and learning. Today, there is a need to include digitalisation in our educational system. This was stated by by Prof Naseeb Singh Gill, Chairman of the Department of Computer Science and Applications at Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, in his keynote address at a faculty development programme on information and communication technologies for orientation and sensitization towards NEP-2020, organised by the Central University of Jammu. Professor Gill interacted with participants and answered their questions.
