Conduct audit of Railway Society building within month, officials told
Residents of the Railway Society building raised concerns about the lack of maintenance, which has caused daily inconveniences. In response to complaints from residents of nearby villages, Gautam directed officials to create a temporary pathway on Kakroi road to ease commuting until a permanent solution is implemented. He also instructed officials to complete the road construction within a fixed timeline.
During the meeting, Pramila from Deepalpur village shared her grievance that a private hospital had denied Ayushman card benefits and charged Rs 4 lakh for her late husband’s treatment. After Gautam’s intervention, the hospital refunded the amount to her. Satya Devi lodged a complaint against Rangoli Buildtech, alleging that despite making full payment, the company had failed to allocate her plot. Gautam directed DC Manoj Kumar to form a committee, including the MLA, grievance committee members, ACP, and DTP, to investigate the matter and take necessary action.
Another complainant, Dolly from Jati Kalan, reported that her husband had been injured after falling from the second floor while working for a contractor, who later absconded without offering assistance. The minister ordered the police to arrest the contractor within a week and provide help to Dolly’s husband. In response to other complaints, Gautam instructed officials to install an RO system at the tubewell in Ridhau village to provide clean drinking water. He also directed an inspection of the ration depot in Barhmalik village after receiving allegations of irregularities in ration distribution.
The MoS reprimanded the Tehsildar of Sonepat after receiving multiple complaints against him from the public during the meeting. A complainant alleged that people were being harassed unnecessarily at the tehsil. Taking serious note of the matter, the minister directed Deputy Commissioner Manoj Kumar to conduct an inquiry into the working of the Tehsildar. Responding to the demands of the complainants, Gautam also instructed the administration to conduct a surprise inspection of the Tehsil to address the grievances and ensure accountability.
Addressing the officials present, MoS Gautam stressed the importance of timely redress of grievances and urged them to ensure efficient service delivery. He called on officials to resolve public complaints promptly and make governance more accessible to the people.
