The University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), Kurukshetra University (KU), organised a two-day fifth international conference on ‘Mobile radio communication, 5G network’ to celebrate National Space Day on Friday.

During the inaugural session of this conference, KU Vice-Chancellor Prof Som Nath Sachdeva said Indian scientists and engineers had made exceptional global contribution in the fields of knowledge, science, communication and technology.

The revolution in the field of communication brought about by 5G network had played a significant role in dealing with education, science, industrial and global challenges, he said.

Engineering and Technology Dean and Director Prof Sunil Dhingra said eminent subject experts such as Prof Rangaraj M Rangayyan from University of Calgary, Prof S Jagannatham from Missouri University of Science and Technology and Dinesh Kumar of Danfoss Global R&D, Denmark, participated in the event.
