The Haryana Congress has announced a strategic lineup for the upcoming local body elections, with key leaders from former Chief Minister Bhupinder Hooda's and MP Kumari Selja's camps getting significant roles. Deepak Babaria, the state in-charge of the Congress, released the list late on Tuesday, highlighting prominent figures in Sirsa, Fatehabad and surrounding areas.

In Sirsa, the party has entrusted veteran leaders Paramvir Singh, MLA from Tohana, and Gaurav Sampat, the son of former minister Prof Sampat Singh, with crucial responsibilities for the municipal elections. Both leaders are trusted allies of Bhupinder Hooda and Kumari Selja, ensuring the party's strong foothold in the region. Paramvir Singh will serve as in-charge, while Gaurav Sampat will be his co-in-charge.

Additionally, former Dabwali MLA Amit Sihag and his father, Dr KV Singh, have been appointed as in-charge and co-in-charge, respectively, for Fatehabad. These appointments signify the Congress's effort to solidify its presence in the key constituencies of southern Haryana.

For the city and rural segments, the list includes several senior party leaders. Rajkumar Sharma, a prominent figure in urban politics, has been appointed as city convener, while Naveen Kedia will serve as co-convener. In the rural category, Dr KV Singh, ex- OSD to CM Hooda, has been named convener, with Jagdish Kamboj and Surjit Singh Bhavdin as co-conveners.
