Before the meeting began, tribute was paid to the victims of the recent plane crash in Ahmedabad.

Sandeep highlighted Congress’ legacy as India’s oldest and largest political party, stating that it played a pivotal role in the country’s freedom struggle and post-independence development.

“Under the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan, the party will be expanded and reorganised by June 30, following the directives from Rahul Gandhi. Any worker aged between 35 and 55 years can file nomination for the position of district president,” he added.

Criticising the BJP, Sandeep said, “To this day, justice has not been served to those who lost their lives in Pahalgam, yet the BJP remains busy in distributing ‘sindoor’. It is right that Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Ahmedabad plane crash site. Why no similar gesture was made towards the families of soldiers martyred in the recent Pahalgam terror attack?”

He questioned “Is the sacrifice of our soldiers less significant? Could the Prime Minister not show a little sensitivity toward their families? I hope he visits them soon.”

Former MLA Chiranjeev Rao emphasised the Congress' focus on strengthening the organisation from the ground up. “Extensive consultations are being held with leaders at the block, Assembly, district and frontal organisation levels—including former MPs, MLAs, NSUI, Youth Congress, Mahila Congress and Seva Dal members,” he added.

“The Congress is now fully focused on rebuilding its organisation. We will reach the people with full strength and expose the anti-people policies of the BJP. Rahul Gandhi is committed to reviving the party structure with renewed energy,” Rao concluded.
