Wrestler-turned-Congress MLA from Julana Vinesh Phogat pulled up officials at the Julana grain market after reports of discrepancies being found in the weighing of wheat during the ongoing procurement process in the grain market.

scale used for wheat. Expressing concern, she lashed out at the market committee’s deputy secretary.

When the official tried to explain that weighing slips were being provided to all farmers and cited staff shortage as a reason, the MLA described it as a diversionary tactic.

However, Phogat asked the officials to weigh the farmers' produce twice on two different scales to ensure accuracy. She also directed that weighing scales be checked every evening and any faults be rectified without delay.
