Taking a swipe at the Congress, Haryana Tourism and Jail Minister Dr Arvind Sharma claimed that the party has lost public support in the state and is struggling to find candidates for the upcoming municipal elections. He made these remarks while attending a programme marking the birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas in Karnal.

Criticising Congress’s demand to conduct elections without Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs), Dr Sharma said, “Even after the Supreme Court has validated EVMs' credibility, Congress continues to spread confusion. This shows the party has nothing substantial left. It is losing its mental balance.”

Expressing confidence in the BJP’s prospects, he asserted that the party would secure a strong victory, ensuring a “triple-engine government” to accelerate Haryana’s development.

On being asked about the Delhi Assembly election results, he said the outcome had exposed the Opposition’s false narratives. “People trust Prime Minister Modi’s guarantee. Congress couldn’t even open its account in Delhi. The same fate awaits them in Haryana,” he said.

Dr Sharma hailed BJP’s landslide victory in Delhi, calling it the beginning of a new era. “This mandate reflects the public’s trust in BJP’s governance. The corrupt and inefficient AAP government has been exposed. Now, Delhi will witness rapid development under a double-engine government,” he added.

He assured that BJP would fulfil all promises made to the people of Delhi, focusing on good governance and accelerated progress.
