Rebuking Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for merely giving assurance of taking legal action instead of taking action against the BJP-led Haryana Government in actual sense, the Leader of the Opposition (LoP) Partap Singh Bajwa on Thursday sought an independent judicial probe into police brutality on Punjab farmers.

“It is high time the Punjab CM, who also holds the home portfolio, should order the police to book the Haryana Police and Home Minister Anil Vij. Police oppression has been witnessed by every one and the Punjab Government is still running away from taking any legal action. Why it has been waiting for,” Bajwa said.

PPCC chief Amrinder Raja Warring asked CM to take action.
