Congress romps home in all three constituencies in Fatehabad dist

In a peaceful counting process, the Congress secured victories in all three Assembly seats in the Fatehabad district — Tohana, Fatehabad and Ratia. The counting, held at Government Women’s College, Bhodia Khera, was supervised by Deputy Commissioner Mandeep Kaur.

In Tohana, Congress candidate Paramvir Singh won by a margin of 10,836 votes, defeating BJP’s Devender Singh Babli. Paramvir Singh received 88,522 votes, while Babli secured 77,686 votes. Other candidates, including INLD’s Kunal Karan Singh, AAP’s Sukhvinder Singh, and JJP’s Hawa Singh, trailed behind.

In Fatehabad, Congress’ Balwan Singh Daulatpuria narrowly won by 2,252 votes against BJP’s Duraram. Daulatpuria received 86,172 votes, while Duraram got 83,920 votes. AAP’s Kamal Bisla and INLD’s Sunaina Chautala followed with much lower votes.

Congress also claimed the Ratia seat, with candidate Jarnail Singh defeating BJP’s Sunita Duggal by a significant margin of 21,442 votes. Jarnail Singh garnered 86,426 votes, while Duggal secured 64,984. Other candidates, including AAP’s Mukhtyar Singh and INLD’s Ramswaroop Rama, were far behind.

The entire counting process was conducted under heavy security, with additional police forces deployed to ensure peace. This clean sweep by the Congress across all three constituencies underscores its strong presence in the Fatehabad district.
