Playing the Dalit card to woo the electorate, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath alleged that the Congress had insulted Dr BR Ambedkar, who was the architect of the Constitution, by orchestrating his defeat in the election and then it never bothered to develop any monument at places related to him when in power.
BJP ended nepotism, corruption in state
Haryana is no longer a centre of nepotism and corruption, but has become a centre of development... whether Manohar Lal or Nayab Singh Saini, both are working for the overall development of the state. Yogi Adityanath, UP Chief Minister
Addressing a rally in the Narwana constituency in Jind, the UP Chief Minister alleged that the Congress worked to divide the society by promoting casteism and communalism. “The Congress has insulted Baba Saheb Ambedkar. But PM Narendra Modi started many schemes in honour of Baba Saheb, like converting his house into a memorial to spread his teachings to the masses. Whenever the Congress came to power, it oppressed the Scheduled Castes,” he alleged.
Targeting the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, he alleged that Rahul Gandhi raised question mark over the constitutional institutions whenever he went abroad. He never leaves a chance to insult the Indian traditions.
Yogi said the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, which was pending for years, had been completed by the BJP. He alleged that the Congress had resorted to divide the society on caste and communal lines after the Independence to remain in power for about 70 years. “We need to cross the barriers of the caste, communities and other faultlines if we want to progress as a society and country. That is why PM Modi has given the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” he said.
Stating that his government in UP has dealt strongly with anti-social elements, Yogi said such elements know that the properties amassed by their seven generations would be confiscated if they indulge in criminal activities. “There is no hooliganism in UP today,” he claimed. Addressing a rally at Jakholi village of Rai constituency in Sonepat in support of BJP candidate Krishna Gahalawat, he said this Assembly election was the battle to move the vision ’Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ of PM Modi ahead. The people have witnessed the transforming Haryana in the last 10 years and also witnessed the change in the state.
CM Yogi said the Congress divided the country on the basis of caste, creed, sect, region and language. “When Rahul Gandhi stays in the country and comes to UP, he will curse Haryana and when he goes to Kerala, he curses UP and when he moves to Italy, he curses India. He appealed to the people to vote for BJP candidate Krishna Gahlawat.
