Consumers visiting power offices to get basic amenities: Haryana minister Anil Vij

He said, “Relevant instructions have already been issued to officials concerned in this connection.”
Vij was responding to a question asked by mediapersons regarding the recent decision to provide various facilities at Electricity Department offices.
He emphasised that every individual, who came to pay an electricity bill was a consumer, and while doing so, he/she was rendering a great service to the government. Vij said, “Their payments help keep the Electricity Department running and ensure that employees receive their salaries and allowances on time.”
“Besides, anyone who comes to pay electricity bill is doing an important work for the government. Therefore, all such consumers should be provided a comfortable seating area,” the minister said. Drinking water and toilet facilities should also be provided at electricity offices, he said.
