‘Continue social work even after graduation’

Indira Gandhi National College, Ladwa, celebrated National Service Scheme (NSS) Day on Wednesday. The college organised various activities, including slogan writing, poster making competitions, and an expert lecture, ‘How NSS shapes personality and leadership’, in which students and NSS volunteers actively participated.

Dr Tejpal, Assistant Professor, Dyal Singh College, who spoke on the topic “Youth and their role in nation building”.

College Principal Prof Kushal Pal, shared that the NSS was formally launched on September 24, 1969, to mark the birth centenary of Mahatma Gandhi, and since then, the day is celebrated every year through various programmes and activities. NSS Programme Officer Dr Suman Siwach said the NSS activities are conducted regularly in the college, and student participation is always commendable. She also encouraged the volunteers to continue engaging in social work even after completing their graduation and to spread awareness within society.
