Seeking action against Ambala City BJP candidate Aseem Goel for allegedly posting a fabricated video on social media, a legal coordinator of the Congress has lodged complaints with the Election Commission and Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Advocate Karan Singh Narang has marked the complaint to the DGP of Haryana and the Chief Election Officer.

Narang stated that a video clip was uploaded on X by BJP candidate with a caption ‘Kanta Hooda Congress Party in Meham’ in which a woman is using derogatory language for a particular scheduled caste. He said on checking facts, the lady was found to be Kanta Aladia, a Dalit leader who has her own party. “Aseem Goel has fabricated the video and shown her as Kanta Hooda with a sinister cause of cheating and misleading people,” he stated.
