Inspector General of Police (IGP), Karnal Range, Satender Kumar Gupta has honoured a Head Constable for “displaying remarkable bravery” in apprehending a wanted criminal.

Despite being injured due to a gunshot, Head Constable Tarsem Kumar apprehended a criminal who was wanted in loot, dacoity and murder cases.

The IGP gave him a letter of appreciation and a cash prize of Rs 5,000 to him.

On October 27, 2023, the CIA-1 Kaithal branch received an input that a wanted criminal was hiding in Karora village. Based on this input, Tarsem Kumar, along with his colleagues, conducted a raid.

During the raid, a brief exchange of fire took place, during which Tarsem sustained bullet injuries. Despite being injured, he managed to apprehend the notorious criminal, Sagar.

“Tarsem displayed bravery by risking his life and thus brought glory to the Police Department,” said the IGP.
