The team raided an office operating out of a room behind Super Mart 2 in DLF Phase 4, arresting one accused.
The search for the other accused is underway.
The accused had been giving fake receipts to cab drivers.
During the investigation, it was revealed that fake receipts were being given to around 200 drivers every day.
A case was registered against the accused at the Sushant Lok police station.
At the site of the raid, one Piyush Srivastava of Allahabad was found working on a computer. During questioning, Srivastava revealed that he used fake tax receipts to defraud taxi drivers.
He carried out the illegal operation in collaboration with one Rakesh of Allahabad.
Victims used to send the money to an account linked to Rakesh’s mobile number.
Investigation revealed that the accused used to sell parking receipts for Rs 10 and toll and road tax receipts for Rs 50.
Tax receipts of Transport Departments of Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Delhi were recovered from the possession of the accused.
