Addressing the farmers on the occasion, Vij said,“The country has developed rapidly in every sector, including agriculture, industry, health, education, Digital India, startups, women empowerment and infrastructure,” and he noted India’s progress in defence, stating that earlier ammunition was imported, but now India’s defence exports are in demand globally. He praised the Army’s recent successful operation. Earlier, the minister listened to the address of PM Modi who released the 20th instalment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, transferring Rs 20,500 crore to the bank accounts of 9.7 crore farmers across the country. Out of this, Rs 9.28 crore has been credited to the accounts of 46,431 farmers in Ambala.
