The Crime Branch unit of Hodal subdivision has arrested three criminals, including one with Rs 10,000 reward on his head, in connection with three separate cases. The arrests are part of ongoing efforts to apprehend wanted offenders linked to a range of serious crimes across multiple states.

According to Manoj Verma, DSP of the Crime Branch, Shakil alias Risky, a resident of Aliemeo village, was arrested on Monday after police received valuable intelligence. He said Shakil, involved in numerous cases of ATM fraud, had been on the run since 2019. In that year, he withdrew Rs 4.20 lakh from a woman’s account after swapping her ATM card. Following the arrest of three of his accomplices, Shakil remained at large. The DSP said he Shakil is connected to at least 17 criminal cases, including ATM fraud, robbery and cheating, across Haryana, Rajasthan and Delhi. The Rajasthan Police had announced a reward of Rs 10,000 for his capture in connection with a theft case in Shyam Nagar, Jaipur.

In a separate case, the Crime Branch of Palwal arrested Mahender, a man wanted for nine serious offences, including murder, robbery, dacoity, kidnapping and rape, in Palwal, Faridabad and Gurugram districts. The most recent charge against Mahender dates back to December 13, when he broke into a house, assaulted the resident and stole a gold chain in a residential society.

The third arrest was of Usman, a Proclaimed Offender (PO) from Jalalpur village in the Hathin subdivision. Usman, who had been on the run since 2016, was wanted in a murder and robbery case involving nine accused.

All three suspects are being interrogated and investigations into their crimes continue. Police officials said the suspects would be presented in court shortly.
