Cyber helpline integrated with Dial 112
Chandigarh, June 13
The state’s cyber helpline 1930 was integrated with the centralised emergency response and support system (CSERC) number 112 on Monday.
ADGP AS Chawla, who is the nodal officer for the CSERC, said standard operating procedures pertaining to 1930 service had been successfully incorporated in the 112 system so that prompt and accountable emergency services could be provided to the victims seamlessly.
He said the pace of acceptance of the CSERC amongst in the state had risen exponentially with the number of calls increasing from 3,87,799 in August 2021 to 5,03,369 in May 2022.
Feedback reports captured from the residents reveal that the satisfaction levels had risen from 91.23 per cent in August 2021 to 94.88 per cent in May 2022, he added.
