Daring daylight robbery: Family preparing for wedding held hostage in Karnal

The robbers escaped with cash, gold, silver and ornaments worn by the women, and valuables from a car parked outside the residence.
As per the police, the incident took place around 8:20 am when around five armed men forcibly entered the house. They reportedly opened fire without warning and held the family hostage at gunpoint. During the chaos, the groom, Aditya Pasricha, who had recently arrived from Australia for his wedding scheduled on December 4, sustained a bullet injury. He is stated to be out of danger.
The robbers ransacked the house and fled with jewellery and other valuables. The family, still in shock, has yet to ascertain the total loss.
Superintendent of Police Ganga Ram Punia, along with multiple police teams and forensic experts, reached the spot and began an intensive investigation.
“This case is our priority. Our CIA teams and cyber experts are working aggressively to crack it at the earliest. Cash and jewellery have been looted, and one person is injured but out of danger,” SP Punia said.
Residents of the area expressed shock at the daring daylight crime, calling it one of the most disturbing incidents in recent years. Police teams are scanning CCTV footage, and a manhunt has been launched to trace the suspects.
