According to information, the deceased, identified as Krishan Kumar, had married Manpreet Kaur of Ferozepur in Punjab. His first wife, Savitri, had died around a decade ago.

The deceased’s brother, Pawan Kumar, told the police that Krishan’s son Vicky was upset with his decision to remarry, due to which he, along with his accomplice Bittu, thrashed Krishan with sticks in the village.

Pawan informed the police that after the demise of Savitri, who was a Class IV employee in the Education Department, Krishan had been drawing a pension as a dependent. The police have registered a case and started a probe.
