Deputy Commissioner Ajay Singh Tomer inspected the Ambala Central Jail on Tuesday and inquired about the facilities being provided to the inmates there.

The DC inspected the meeting room, women’s ward, infant room, VC room, kitchen, canteen, bakery unit, control room, jail hospital, jail radio station, library and other units at the jail.

He inquired about the number of undertrial prisoners and inmates in the jail and the facilities being provided to them. Jail Superintendent Satvinder Godara told the DC that the prisoners and inmates were provided legal aid service through the District Legal Services Authority.
