“Show-cause notices will be issued to the officials who remained absent from the programme,” he stated, while directing those present to redress the grievances of the residents without delay.

He commended the village panchayat, the Education Department and the local management of Shaheed Jasbir Singh Government Senior Secondary School, Sisar Khas, for maintaining what he described as the most beautiful school in the district.

The DC planted a sapling on the school premises, delivering a message on the importance of environmental protection to the villagers.

Listening attentively to residents’ complaints, Singh instructed the relevant departments’ officers present to address these issues as a priority. He also inspected stalls set up by various departments on the school grounds and appreciated the efforts of both organisers and officials.

As part of the night-stay programme, an eye check-up camp was organised by the District Red Cross Society. Villagers were examined at a mobile clinic and the Deputy Commissioner distributed free spectacles to those in need on behalf of the district administration.

Registration of physically challenged residents and senior citizens requiring assistive devices and aids was also carried out during the event.

Departments including Health, AYUSH, Social Welfare, Sports, Education, UHBVN and the State Bank of India set up stalls to provide information and direct access to welfare schemes and public services.

Prominent residents of the village honoured Deputy Commissioner Dharmender Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Narendra Kumar, Chief Executive Officer of the Zila Parishad Pradeep Kaushik, DSP (Meham) Sandeep Kumar and District Development and Panchayat Officer Rajpal Chahal with ceremonial turbans.

A list of public demands was formally submitted to the Deputy Commissioner on behalf of the village panchayat.
