Delhi blast: High alert sounded in Gurugram, Faridabad

Security has been tightened and barricades are being put up in border areas and internal districts, and vehicles are being checked.
In Gurugram, a control room has also been set up at the district headquarters for monitoring. DCP West Karan Goel has been given the responsibility of the control room. More than 4,000 police personnel have been deployed on the roads.
A barricade has been put up at the Delhi-Gurugram border. All vehicles passing through are being checked, especially those with licence plates from other states. The police are also checking the identity cards of drivers and passengers.
Police Commissioner Vikas Arora has directed the DCPs, ACPs, station in-charges, crime teams and Intelligence Bureau of the concerned areas to conduct intensive checking in all hotels, guest houses, public transport and crowded places of the city.
GRP and RPF teams have also been deployed. The Railways Police inspected the railway station on Monday night and searched the luggage of passengers. A search was also conducted on all trains.
Similarly, the Faridabad police is on high alert. All the vehicles are being thoroughly checked on the borders and even within the district.
Haryana DGP OP Singh also posted on X that high alert had been sounded across the state in view of the Delhi incident and requested people to remain calm.
“If you see any suspicious persons or abandoned objects, please report them to 112. All police officers are in their respective areas. Vehicle checking is being conducted at interstate borders. Public transport, parking areas, hotels, and dharamshalas are also being checked. Special vigilance is being maintained in the NCR districts", he said in the post.
