Delhi cop, 3 others held for gangrape

The Sonepat police have arrested four accused, including a constable in the Delhi Police, in connection with a gang-rape case registered in Bahalgarh police station.

The police produced the accused in court which sent the accused on two-day police remand. Those arrested were identified as Bhavishya of Kiloharad, Ankit of Liwaspur, Vicky of Khewra and Vazir alias Ravi of Naya Bass village in Rohtak district.

Prabina P, DCP East, said that a woman of the district — in her complaint to Bahalgarh police on March 18 — said she knew Bhavishya, who was working in a hospital.

Bhavishya called her to his home on March 17 on the pretext of his birthday party. After that, he took her to a field in Khewra village, where his two friends were already present. There, the trio raped her.

Meanwhile, another friend of Bhavishya, Vazir, reached there and he threatened the victim with a pistol. The victim went to her house and disclosed the incident to her family members. Then, they approached the police. The Bahalgarh police registered a case and arrested all four accused.
