A team of the Town and Country Planning Department carried out demolition drives in three unauthorised colonies being developed in Pehowa block of Kurukshetra. As per information, the team carried out demolition drives in Morthali, Murtzapur and at a colony near Pehowa bypass.

Kurukshetra District Town Planner (DTP) Vikram Kumar said, information regarding the development of three unauthorised colonies in Pehowa block was received. He said as per details gathered, an unauthorised colony was being developed on four acres at Morthali village, another colony was being developed on over 21 kanals in Murtzapur village and the third colony was being developed on 0.64 acre near Pehowa bypass. Following directions received from the Deputy Commissioner, demolition drives were carried out in all three colonies, he said.
