Sonepat, March 4

A meeting of the Sonepat Metropolitan Development Authority (SMDA) was held at the mini-secretariat here today. At the meeting, presided over by KM Pandurang, CEO, SMDA, planning of development projects was discussed.

KM Pandurang said 40% of the district area has been included in the SMDA. DC Manoj Kumar said the administration would provide all possible support to the authority. Pandurang said the boundaries of SMDA have been decided and received approval of the government.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
