Devotional singer Kanhaiya Mittal set to join Congress
Devotional singer Kanhaiya Mittal on Sunday announced that he will join Congress to spread the Sanatana Dharma.
Mittal's devotional song ‘Jo Ram Ko Laye Hain Hum Unko Layenge' was an instant hit and became famous during the day leading up to the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
As he announced his plans to join the Congress, reports went viral of yet another BJP member parting ways from the party following which Mittal released a video statement.
“I was never a BJP member or leader. I am a sanatani and want to serve Sanatan. It is possible to serve 'Sanatan Dharma' from anywhere. A friend of mine called me today morning and I told him about my wish to join Congress. I don't want any particular party to talk about ‘Sanatan’. I want every party to do that. There’s no clash between me and BJP,” Mittal said in a video message posted on X.
