A State Convergence Committee meeting regarding the National Deworming Day (NDD) programme was held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of National Health Mission (NHM) Director Aditya Dahiya.

The Government of India and the NHM are set to implement the 15th deworming drive through an institute-based fixed-day approach, where the programme will be implemented on February 15 and followed by a mop-up day on February 20. Children and adolescents (aged 1-19 years) and women aged 20-24 will receive deworming treatment under the program. The state is aiming to reach 98.80 lakhs children and 7 lakh women during the drive, Dahiya said.
