Director General of Police Shatrujeet Kapur held a meeting with officers of the Police Department in district secretariat, Jagadhri. The meeting was held to discuss measures being taken by the police to prevent crime in the district.

On reaching the district secretariat in Jagadhri on Friday afternoon, Inspector General of Police Shibas Kaviraj; Superintendent of Police, Yamunanagar Surinder Singh Bhoria; Superintendent of Police Karnal Ganga Ram Punia, Rajiv Deswal and Additional SP Amarender Singh welcomed DGP Shatrujeet Kapur.

During the meeting, the DGP took feedback on the current situation of crime in Yamunanagar and other districts and the functioning of the police.

He emphasised that the complaints of the public should be resolved timely and effectively.

During the meeting, the DGP clearly said that the police would have to be vigilant at every level to control crime.

“Any kind of negligence in preventing crime will not be tolerated,” said DGP Shatrujeet Kapur.

He said that officers should work with responsibility and accountability in the field.

He instructed all police officers to work with full alertness to effectively control crime and maintain the trust of the people. “The officers should take every complaint seriously and resolve it within the stipulated time so that the public can get justice,” said the DGP.
