“There might be two reasons for this delay: either the party high command doesn’t trust its leaders in Haryana, or it believes that the Congress leaders in Haryana are not qualified to become the Leader of Opposition,” said the minister.

Dhanda made this remark while attending the annual function of the Jhajjar Gurukul on Saturday evening.

In reply to another question about the National Education Policy (NEP), the minister said the Centre aimed at implementing the NEP across the country by 2030. However, in Haryana, it would be fully implemented by the end of the year, hence all officials had been given instructions for the same, he added.

“The government is taking effective steps towards establishing a synergy between the Gurukul education system and modern education. While the Gurukul education system plays an active role in instilling values in the youth, modern education contributes to comprehensive development in line with the changing environment,” he pointed out.

Dhanda stated that the Gurukul system had a significant contribution in the nation-building process and the struggle for Independence, so all want to strengthen the Gurukul system. “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the nation and the state are rapidly moving towards all-around development,” he added.

The minister emphasised the important role of the Gurukul system in personality development and urged for collective efforts to further promote the system.
