Sirsa, July 8

Haryana Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) Secretary General Digvijay Chautala advised Bhupinder Hooda to focus on his family rather than others regarding the Rajya Sabha (RS) seat. This comment came after Hooda suggested Digvijay to fight for the seat vacated by Deepender Hooda’s election to the Lok Sabha.

Speaking in Sirsa on Sunday, Digvijay suggested that Hooda should nominate his wife or daughter-in-law for the seat. He accused Hooda of treating the seat as his family’s belonging, noting that Hooda had previously secured the seat for his son by removing Kumari Selja.

Digvijay thanked Hooda for proposing him but criticised Hooda’s political manoeuvres. He expressed surprise that Hooda, who had previously taken the seat from Selja for his son, would now show such kindness towards him. He said Hooda’s thinking was limited to his family interests.

Digvijay said, “I am not interested in backdoor politics and will only take on those responsibilities decided by the public for me, when the time comes. My priority is to rebuild the organisation.”
