It was unanimously decided in the meeting that the committee would request CM and Health Minister to convene a meeting next week with the association and get the issue resolved amicably.
The committee was of the opinion that despite strong political commitment, the demands were not being fulfilled due to bureaucratic hurdles. In case there is no positive response from the government, then HCMS members would be forced to go on the path of agitation, said president of HCMS Association Dr Rajesh Khyalia.
The association resolved that they would observe a pen-down strike on November 25. In case the matter is not resolved, the association would be left with no option than to go for complete shutdown of all kinds of health services, said Dr Khyalia.
