Don't be apprehensive, Health dept alert about HMPV: Arti Rao
Health Minister Arti Singh Rao has said the Health Department is fully alert regarding the HMPV, so people need not be apprehensive. Health officials have been instructed to remain alert throughout the state.
She was addressing a gathering at a programme organised on the Civil Surgeon Office premises yesterday. “As soon as symptoms appear, get your checkup done immediately and take special care of cleanliness around you to protect yourself from the virus,” she added.
The minister inaugurated the Jan Aushadhi Centre at Jhajjar Civil Hospital and Dental Implant Centre and Lab at Bahadurgarh Civil Hospital on the occasion. She also flagged off ambulances equipped with advanced life support facilities.
Out of a total of five ambulances, two have been given to Jhajjar district, two to Nuh district and one to Gurugram district.
The Health Minister said the state government was working with full commitment to strengthen health services in the state and promote medical research. The Ayushman Bharat Yojana had been expanded to ensure access to health services to every person in society, she added.
“Now, all senior citizens above the age of 70 years are being provided medical facilities upto Rs 5 lakh annually under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana,” she added.
