Dr Ambedkar’s statue damaged in Palwal village
A statue of Babasaheb Dr BR Ambedkar was damaged at Puthli village of the district. The police have registered a case in this connection.
Some unidentified persons reportedly damaged the right arm of the statue of Dr Ambedkar on Wednesday night.
The unidentified suspects had covered their faces, it is reported.
When the matter came to their notice, local residents reached a police station and lodged a complaint in this regard on Thursday.
After getting information about the incident, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Suresh Bhadana, along with
other police officials, visited the spot.
DSP Bhadana assured the villagers that the suspects would be arrested soon. The police had launched a manhunt to nab the suspects.
