The Municipal Corporation (MC) has launched a drive to remove illegal hoardings, flex boards and banners from the twin cities Yamunangar and Jagadhri. The drive was launched on the instructions of MC Commissioner Mahabir Parsad.

According to information, teams have been formed under the leadership of Municipal Engineer Rajesh Sharma to remove illegally installed hoardings, flex boards and banners in the twin cities.

The MC teams removed illegal hoardings, flex boards and banners installed on dividers, chowks, streetlight poles and other public places of the Railway road, Jagadhri road, Govindpuri road and other roads today. “The MC teams have started removing illegal hoardings, flex boards and banners installed at various places as these are spoiling the beauty of the twin cities. After removing hoardings, flex boards and banners, these are deposited in the MC store,” said Municipal Engineer Rajesh Sharma.

Additional Municipal Commissioner Dheeraj Kumar said some people had illegally installed hoardings and flex boards in the twin cities without the permission of the civic body. He said no hoarding and banner should be installed without the permission of the MC. — TNS
