Chandigarh: Ex-CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda has decided not to celebrate his 75th birthday, which falls on Thursday, due to the ongoing farmers’ protest. As per his media adviser Sunil Parti, he will be in Delhi on Thursday where he will meet party workers and leaders but there won’t be any cake-cutting ceremony. TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
