A retired Delhi Police Sub-inspector Narender Chhikara has allegedly shot himself at his house at Bahadurgarh town in Jhajjar district.

The matter came to light when a neighbour informed the police that Chhikara was not opening the gate of his house.

A police team reached there and found his body lying in his house. The police sent the body for a post-mortem examination.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Chhikara shot himself with his licenced revolver.

It was also found that the deceased had strained relations with his family and stayed alone.

He belonged to Bamdoli village in Jhajjar district and was staying in Sector 6 at Bahadurgarh. Before ending his life, Chhikara shot a video of himself, in which he has held his wife, son, daughter, father-in-law and another relative responsible for his suicide.The police has registered a case and started investigating the matter.
