Ex-minister to hold interaction with farmers

Former Minister and BJP state spokesman Krishan Murti Hooda will hold an interaction with farmers at Makrauli Kalan village here on February 16. The meeting aims at ascertaining the farmers' issues and gather feedback on the welfare schemes of both the Central and state governments.

In a press note issued here on Thursday, Krishan Murti asserted that both BJP government at the Centre and in the state had consistently been introducing welfare schemes that prioritise the interests of the farmers.

“During the interaction, I will first listen to the farmers’ grievances and then explain the government’s policies to ensure they can avail maximum benefits. The grievances will later be presented to the Chief Minister for further action," said Krishan Murti.

He also highlighted that Haryana was the only state in the country offering a minimum support price for 24 crops.

Describing the Congress party as anti-farmer, the former minister accused the previous Congress government of rendering farmers landless by acquiring their valuable land in the name of development. In contrast, he stated that the BJP government had not acquired a single inch of land from the farmers over the past decade.
