Presiding over a pre-Budget consultation meeting for the fiscal year 2025-26 at Kurukshetra University, the CM engaged with students from the Super-100 programme, startup entrepreneurs and experts from various fields.

“The government has been taking suggestions from different segments of society to ensure the Budget fulfils the expectations of the people of Haryana. The good suggestions will be incorporated into the Budget. Youth, especially those involved in startups, are advancing rapidly in every field globally. Their experience and ideas will significantly contribute to the Budget preparation and the state’s development,” the CM said.

He said, “Our objective is to present a Budget that brings prosperity to every citizen.”

The CM, along with Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam, also attended Lohri celebrations at Kurukshetra University. Wishing greetings for Lohri and Makar Sankranti, Saini said, “Festivals are important ways to celebrate unity and equality in society.”

The CM urged societal cooperation in the state’s campaign against drugs. “Meetings have been held with SPs and DCs to enforce strict action against those involved in drug-related activities. We appeal to society to play its role in the fight against drugs and regularly interact with children to keep them on the right path,” he said.

Earlier in the day, Saini attended a havan ceremony organised by Swami Vivekananda Utthan Samiti at Karasan village in Ambala. He reiterated the government’s goal of making every youth skilled and financially prosperous by 2030.

“Swami Vivekananda was a great personality who spread Indian culture and pride globally. He remains a source of inspiration for the youth. Following his footsteps, we are working to fulfil the dreams of Haryana’s youth,” Saini said.

He highlighted initiatives like Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam, which have provided merit-based employment and ensured job security for the youth. He also encouraged young people to actively participate in politics.

Speaking to mediapersons, the CM criticised former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, asserting that the BJP would secure a clear majority in Delhi. “The lies of a leader who came to power claiming to fight corruption have been exposed. The people of Delhi are aware of their reality and are eagerly waiting to vote them out,” Saini said.
