Guru Ravidas fought against caste and discrimination, promoting unity and harmony, values that are still relevant today. He also encouraged the youth to adopt these values for a fulfilling life.

The event was presided over by CDLU Registrar Rajesh Kumar Bansal, who wished everyone well on the occasion.

He emphasised the importance of students determining their careers and advancing in life. Under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Professor Narsi Ram Bishnoi, such events are regularly organised at the university. Dr Rakesh Kumar, in charge of the Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Research Centre, shared details about the centre’s work.

He said the institute’s primary goal was to conduct research on Guru Ravidas’s thoughts and to spread his messages of equality and unity across society.

The event was attended by various faculty members, including Dean (Student Welfare) Rajkumar, Ravinder, and Amit. The speaker was warmly welcomed by Ranjit Kaur, and Jasbir Singh introduced him.

The programme was hosted by Gursahib Singh, while the Music Department, led by Vinod, performed devotional songs dedicated to Guru Ravidas. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Sewa Singh Bajwa.
